Eric Smith CPP  Keith McGlen, CPP, CHPA, Vice President, Security Services UCHealth

Keith is a tenacious, insightful security executive with oustanding experience in establishing strategic vision, developing strategy, and implementing security programs to protect organizational assets.  With 29 years of leadership experience at top-rated health systems in the US, he continually focuses on deploying security plans that mitigate security risk and vulnerability for employees, visitors, customers, and other assets.  Keith is a current member of the ASIS International Healthcare Security and ASIS Crime Prevention Steering Committees.  Keith believes in community and has been a member and subject matter expert for International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS)

Eric Smith CPP  Eric Smith, CPP, Security Black Belt, Director of Security Services for Denver Health

Eric began his career in law enforcement and was fortunate to serve on a special team responsibile for street level drug interdiction and cleaning up a business district that was suffering from hi crime.  He has served as a firearms instructor, field training officer, and emergency driving instructor.  Eric moved into healthcare and focused on revamping struggling security programs, developing support from executive leaders and stakeholders and designing security systems from ground up.  After writing an article for a law enforcement magazine, which sparked an interest in writing, Eric wrote "Workplace Security Essentials", a book on how to design a security solution.  Eric is the founding member of Business Karate, a security consulting firm.  He is a past chair of ASIS Denver Mile Hi and a member of the local IAHSS chapter.

  Tony York, CHPA, CPP  EVP with the Paladin Security Group

Security expert, business leader, and mentor – Tony brings integrity and warmth to each role he has held to help make the world a safer place.  A visionary and engaging business executive, with a proven track record of developing and building strong client relationships, HSS Inc. grew significantly under Tony’s leadership – in reputation and its ability to deliver safe patient care environments. Today, he is Executive Vice President for the Paladin Security Group where he is responsible for growing and strengthening the healthcare specific offering for its family of companies – Paladin Security, PalAmerican Security, Paladin Risk Solutions and Paladin Technologies.  He is a Past President and Board Chair of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety and co-author of Hospital and Healthcare Security, which is widely considered to be the definitive book on hospital security.  The drive behind Tony’s success is his passion to continuously improve upon traditional security programs, while being innovative in keeping healthcare safe. As a result, he has spent a considerable amount of time on combating violence in healthcare, specifically patient generated violence against staff and security teams. Tony lives in Evergreen, Colo with his wife Cara and is well known for his love of fly-fishing.
